DescriptionJon Ossoff for Senate is seeking a Deputy Press Secretary to support the Communications Department for the duration of the 2026 election cycle to assist with the campaigns aggressive effort to hold Republicans in the state of Georgia accountable and drive coverage about Senator Ossoffs work on behalf of Georgia families.
This position requires relocation to Atlanta GA. This role may require travel throughout the state on short notice. Salary begins at $5500/a month.
What Youll Do
- Assist the Communications Team with drafting media advisories press releases memos talking points and additional external communications as needed;
- Assist with pitching local media and handling in-state communications-related inquiries;
- Support the planning and execution of earned media events for the campaign across the state including but not limited to press conferences roundtables discussions and meet and greets;
- Take on additional duties and tasks as assigned and as needs evolve for a fast-paced Communications Team.
What Were Looking for
This is not an entry level position. Qualified applicants will demonstrate strong attention to detail high levels of organization ability to function in a fast-paced environment and a willingness to work as part of a team. Experience with campaigns or other political work is a plus but not required.
Preference will be given to candidates with:
- At least one 1-2 years of professional experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as organizational and critical thinking skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
- Proven commitment to Senator Ossoffs priorities and the Democratic Party.
