General Ledger Accountant

We are looking for GL Accountants who would enjoy taking part in shaping and supporting a complex international finance environment. You will be joining our European Finance Shared Service Center in Hatvan where you will be responsible for the accounting and monthly closing activities for our Swiss European HQ a highly international IFRS-based environment with strong professional standards and cross-country collaboration.
If you enjoy navigating complex accounting topics using English on a daily basis and contributing to accurate high-quality financial reporting in an international setting this role is for you.
Your responsibilities will be to:
Perform end-to-end General Ledger accounting activities under IFRS
Ensure compliance of bookings with accounting principles internal and external regulations
Support monthly quarterly and year-end closing processes for our Swiss headquarter
Contribute to accurate and timely financial reporting packages
Work closely with AR AP and Controlling during closing cycles.
Support fixed assets and inventory accounting activities
Ensure deadlines are met and high quality of data is provided
Participate in internal and external audit processes
Our requirements:
Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or Economics
Certified accountant qualification (or equivalent professional accounting certification) is required
Solid General Ledger background with minimum 5 years professional experience in a relevant GL accounting position
Fluency in English (spoken and written is essential)
Microsoft Excel skills
Ability to work in a structured deadline-driven environment
Accuracy ownership and strong problem-solving mindset
Would be advantageous:
Big Four and/or work experience in international business environment
IFRS experience highly valued
Oracle experience
