Position Title: Radiology Technologist CWR
Location: Hackensack New Jersey
Employment Type: Contract (13 Weeks) with strong potential for extension or permanent placement
Schedule
- 3x12-hour shifts: 8:00 AM 9:00 PM
- Every 3rd weekend rotation
- Holidays as required
- On-call coverage required
Position Summary
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist I to perform diagnostic imaging procedures in an acute care hospital environment. This role requires independent clinical judgment strong technical expertise and a commitment to delivering high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
The technologist will be responsible for performing a wide range of radiographic examinations including emergency trauma operative and portable imaging procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiographic imaging by properly positioning patients and selecting appropriate technical parameters
- Operate radiology equipment for various imaging studies
- Ensure strict adherence to radiation safety protocols including beam restriction and collimation
- Perform portable X-rays in ER OR and inpatient units
- Assist with contrast media preparation and related procedures
- Maintain accurate imaging records and documentation
- Ensure cleanliness and readiness of imaging suites and equipment
- Assist in patient positioning with attention to safety mobility and special needs (pediatric geriatric etc.)
- Coordinate patient scheduling and related administrative duties as needed
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital experience
- Strong proficiency in emergency and trauma imaging environments
- Experience with portable imaging and OR procedures
- Pediatric imaging experience required
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Education
- High school diploma or GED required
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Completion of clinical training and ARRT requirements
Licensure & Certification
- Active New Jersey State Radiologic Technologist License (required)
- Current ARRT Certification (required)
- All credentials must be active and in good standing (no pending licensure accepted)
