Site Finance Operations Associate
Are you ready to take full ownership of finance operations at site level and play a key role in connecting finance with operations
We are looking for a Site FinOps who will act as the local finance expert and a trusted partner to site this role you will ensure that finance processes run smoothly accurately and transparently - supporting both daily operations and strong business decision-making.
You will be a core part of the site leadership setup with real influence and visibility across the organisation.
You will be based at our Maersk warehouse in Taulov Fredericia and report directly to the Site Manager making you a core part of the site leadership setup with real influence and visibility.
What you will be doing
As Site FinOps you will be responsible for end-to-end finance operations at site level. This includes both hands-on execution and driving structure compliance and improvements.
Your responsibilities will include:
Owning the full Accounts Receivable process including:
- Sales order creation and invoicing (external and internal/ICB)
- Follow-up on unbilled orders disputes and overdue balances
Managing Accounts Payable activities including:
- Purchase order creation and invoice booking
- Vendor payments queries and follow-up on open or aged items
Supporting month-end close including:
- Accruals (AP & AR)
- Variance analysis and explanations
- Identifying risks and opportunities
Acting as site owner of finance data controls and deadlines ensuring strong governance and compliance
Partnering with Controlling and Site Management to understand contracts and rate cards ensuring correct financial handling
Serving as the finance interface towards key stakeholders such as Operations Customer Service and Procurement
Driving continuous improvement of finance and administrative processes at site
Ensuring proper documentation archiving and process maintenance
Who we are looking for
We are looking for someone who combines strong finance knowledge with a structured and proactive mindset.
You bring:
- Experience from a similar finance or finance-administrative role (logistics warehousing or 3PL is an advantage)
- Solid understanding of invoicing AP accrals and cost reporting
- Strong Excel and Office skills; SAP experience is a plus
- A structured and detail-oriented approach with ownership of end-to-end processes
- The ability to work independently in a fast-paced operational environment
- Confidence in collaborating with stakeholders across different functions and levels
