Job Description:
. As a Respiratory Therapist you will play a vital role in improving the respiratory health and quality of life of elderly patients.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct respiratory assessments and develop individualized care plans for geriatric patients
- Administer respiratory treatments and therapies such as oxygen therapy nebulizer treatments and chest physiotherapy
- Monitor and adjust ventilator settings for patients with respiratory failure
- Educate patients and their families on respiratory care and disease management
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Respond to emergency situations and provide life-saving interventions as needed
Requirements:
- Valid state license as a Respiratory Therapist
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a healthcare setting preferably with geriatric patients
- Strong knowledge of respiratory diseases and treatments
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to work night shifts and rotating weekends
- BLS and ACLS certification
