Position: Speech Language Pathologist
Salary Range: $40 - $50 per hour
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join a medium-sized skilled nursing facility. As a Speech Language Pathologist you will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with communication and swallowing disorders. This is a full-time position with 40 hours per week Monday through Friday and no weekend rotation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations to assess patients speech language and swallowing abilities
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results and patient goals
- Implement evidence-based therapy techniques to improve patients communication and swallowing skills
- Monitor and document patients progress towards goals and adjust treatment plans accordingly
- Collaborate with other members of the rehab team to provide comprehensive care to patients
- Educate patients and their families on strategies to improve communication and swallowing abilities
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in the field of speech-language pathology and incorporate new techniques into practice
- Adhere to all company policies procedures and ethical standards
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records and progress notes
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current state license or eligibility for state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Knowledge of and ability to use various assessment and treatment techniques
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic documentation systems
