Sr. Software Development Engineer, Publisher Decision Engine

Lead the technical vision for Amazon Ads Publisher Technology as we build next-generation ad monetization systems across Alexa Prime Video
Twitch Freevee and FireTV. As a Senior Software Development Engineer on the Publisher Decision Engine (PDE) Ad Flow team youll drive
architectural decisions mentor engineers and deliver high-impact solutions that generate billions in revenue for Amazons premier content
platforms.

This is a rare opportunity to shape the foundation of supply-side advertising technology at Amazon scale. Youll tackle some of the most
challenging problems in ad techreal-time optimization distributed systems at massive scale and intelligent decisioningwhile building a team
and culture from the ground up.

Key job responsibilities
What youll do:
Own architecture and technical strategy for systems processing billions of ad requests daily
Lead cross-team initiatives building scalable solutions for inventory monetization and yield optimization
Drive technical excellence through design reviews code reviews and engineering best practices
Mentor engineers and help them grow their technical skills and careers
Partner with product science and business teams to translate complex requirements into elegant solutions
Make high-judgment decisions on technology choices and system design that impact the organization

- 5 years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5 years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5 years of leading design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor tech lead or leading an engineering team

- 5 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
