Position Title: CT Scan Technologist (Contract / Temporary Assignment)
Location: Hackensack New Jersey
Weekly Hours: 40 hours

Schedule:
11:00 PM 7:00 AM 5x8 Night Shifts
Every 3rd Weekend Required Holidays as Needed No On-Call

Duration: 67 Weeks (High Possibility of Extension or Permanent Placement)

Position Overview

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled CT Scan Technologist to perform advanced computed tomography imaging procedures to produce high-quality diagnostic and 3D sectional images. This role involves direct patient care contrast administration imaging evaluation and close collaboration with radiologists and physicians to ensure accurate and timely diagnostic outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform advanced CT imaging procedures in accordance with physician orders
• Review patient clinical history and ensure accurate documentation in PACS
• Prepare and verify contrast screening questionnaires with patients and families
• Administer and manage contrast media safely per established protocols
• Verify and clarify imaging orders with physicians and radiologists as needed
• Coordinate insurance authorization and ensure documentation accuracy
• Retrieve and upload external imaging studies into PACS/EMR systems
• Provide imaging records to patients and referring providers when required
• Assess image quality and ensure diagnostic accuracy prior to submission
• Properly position and prepare patients for CT exams including shielding and immobilization
• Monitor patients during procedures for adverse reactions or complications
• Perform IV insertion venipuncture and contrast administration
• Maintain adherence to hospital scheduling weekend rotation and holiday coverage
• Follow all institutional policies related to safety attendance and professional conduct
• Educate and communicate effectively with patients throughout procedures

Required Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of CT anatomy physiology and imaging techniques
• Understanding of CT equipment protocols and software systems
• Experience working with PACS and hospital imaging systems
• Ability to complete continuing education requirements (CEUs)
• Must obtain ARRT (CT) certification within 12 months of hire
• Must obtain BLS certification within 3 months of hire

Education & Certification

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Active New Jersey Diagnostic Radiography License required
• ARRT (R) Certification required
• American Heart Association BLS Certification required
• ARRT (CT) Certification preferred

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 6 months of CT experience preferred
• Experience with EPIC RIS or HIS systems strongly preferred
• Ability to work independently during night shifts
• Experience with IV contrast administration required
• Prior experience in a high-volume hospital imaging setting preferred
