Hourly Rate: Casual HEW 3 ($44.04 per hour 12% superannuation)

About the Role:

The Sushi & Dumpling Chef requires a proactive adaptable individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and demonstrates strong communication and organisational skills. You will work closely within a small team to consistently deliver high quality food with a strong focus on presentation efficiency and attention to detail.

To be successful youll have:

• A minimum of three years experience preparing sushi and dumplings with a strong emphasis on quality consistency and presentation
• A high level of knowledge of Asian ingredients and cooking techniques
• Proven reliability self-motivation and excellent organisational skills
• A positive professional attitude and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Creativity and initiative to contribute to the development of new dishes and seasonal menus
• The ability to obtain and maintain a valid Working With Children Check

Your key responsibilities will be to:

• Daily preparation and production of sushi and dumplings
• Independently maintaining a clean well-organised workspace in line with the highest food safety and hygiene standards
• Engaging with guests when required including explaining dishes answering questions and accommodating special dietary requests
• Assisting with order placement general preparation tasks and overall kitchen cleaning
• Supporting the delivery of events and functions across the Waurn Ponds and Waterfront campuses
• Demonstrating strong time management communication and organisational skills with the ability to perform effectively under pressure
• Assist in fostering and nurturing a culture of professionalism and pride in the workplace
