This role acts as a strategic partner to the business ensuring that technical delivery is matched by operational excellence. You are accountable for the financial health operational efficiency and overall performance of the business unit. The role is split into a 60% Strategic Delivery Focus driving scalable practices and digital transformation outcomes and a 40% Operations & Finance Focus safeguarding profitability and financial discipline. You will bridge the gap between technical execution and commercial success ensuring the unit operates smoothly and aligns with strategic goals.

What Will You Do
Key Responsibility:
Strategic Delivery (60%)
- Governance & Quality: Drive the implementation of scalable delivery practices and ensure standards consistently meet client expectations and internal benchmarks.
- Process Standardization: Standardize frameworks and tools to improve efficiency consistency and quality across all digital projects.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Proactively engage stakeholders and clients to uphold governance; intervene on key accounts where delivery standards require escalation.
- Operational Enablement: Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of complex engagements and align capabilities with project demands.
- Performance Metrics: Collaborate with HR Business Partners to gather and report on performance metrics including skills certifications and consultant scorecard data.
- Performing business analysis/problem solving on the fly and rapidly context switching.
Operations & Finance (40%)
- Financial Health: Proactively manage forecasting (Revenue CoS Opex Headcount) invoicing and cash flow to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Resource & Capacity Planning: Optimize resource allocation and the resource pool (staff and contractors) to meet project needs and Gross Margin targets.
- Revenue Assurance: Oversee project budgets and commercial parameters to maintain financial discipline and maximize committed cover into future months.
- Compliance & Administration: Ensure 95% weekly timesheet completeness and accuracy to support billing and identify/eliminate project waste.
- Reporting & Analytics: Create and maintain dashboards reports and KPIs to provide actionable insights for leadership decision-making.
Who Do You Need to Be
- Experience: 8 years in operations or delivery management specifically within a consulting or technology environment (predominantly technology project delivery end to end SDLC)
- Qualifications: BSc BIS BCom or BEng degree
- Technical Skills: Advanced Excel skills and deep working knowledge of resource management tools and financial platforms like Board.
- Commercial Acumen: Deep understanding of managing accounts receivable optimizing cash flow and managing financial performance to budget (GP Op EBITDA).
- Leadership Style: Operationally disciplined with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and maintain a high-performing skilled workforce.
- Problem Solver: Highly solution-oriented capable of addressing financial variances proactively and identifying efficiencies to enhance profitability.
- Pro hybrid working model: Working from the office on average 2 3 times per week.
- A strong customer-facing ability.
