Overview
We are seeking a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer to join our Power and Industrial Engineering team in Bothell WA or Orlando FL with consideration for other U.S. locations near an AtkinsRéalis office.
In this role you will lead and contribute to the design and delivery of complex power generation and industrial infrastructure projects applying your technical expertise to support safe efficient and highquality outcomes.
Your role
- Lead and execute civil and structural design for power generation facilities including: concrete and structural steel support structures foundations (including combustion and steam turbine dynamic analysis) site development control buildings and ancillary structures
- Deliver designs in compliance with applicable codes standards and AtkinsRéalis policies including safety environmental QA/QC and quality standards
- Coordinate design activities to support project schedules and successful delivery
- Support site visits project estimating and participation in project meetings
- Produce accurate highquality designs aligned with industry standards and project specifications
- Review internal and external designs for code compliance constructability and best practices
- Prepare project specifications for material and equipment procurement and installation
- Address site queries participate in construction meetings and conduct site inspections as needed
- Maintain comprehensive design and construction documentation including asbuilt records and closeout packages
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and maintain commitments to project deliverables
- Build strong working relationships with internal teams (Procurement Drafting Project Management) and external stakeholders (clients contractors suppliers)
About you
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering (or closely related discipline)
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil/structural engineering with a focus on power generation (preferably thermal)
- Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required
- Strong knowledge of applicable codes and standards (IBC ASCE ACI AISC OSHA)
- Proficiency with structural analysis and design tools (e.g. RISA STAAD SAP2000)
- Experience with dynamic analysis and seismic response preferred
- Familiarity with design and modeling tools such as SmartPlant 3D Revit Tekla Civil 3D AutoCAD preferred
- Strong analytical problemsolving and technical documentation skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination abilities
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while taking ownership of deliverables

Expected compensation range is between $120000 - $160000 annually depending on skills experience and geographical location.
