Job Summary

Summary:

  • The U.S. Travel Association is seeking a Research & Data Analytics Intern to support the collection analysis and reporting of key travel industry metrics. This role offers hands-on experience working with real-world data and contributing to industry strategy and policy.

Responsibilities:

  • Compile data on travel industry performance including air travel hotel metrics international visitation consumer sentiment and related indicators.
  • Assist in analyzing survey data including reviewing for inconsistencies and validating responses.
  • Assist in creating and support analysis of event evaluation surveys.
  • Support research on travel trends including America 250-related activities and impacts.
  • Develop presentations and briefing materials by effectively communication research results internal and external audiences.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Economics Data Analytics Public Policy Hospitality or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint (experience with data visualization tools is a plus).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets.
  • Interest in travel tourism advocacy and/or economic trends.

  • Position based in Washington DC. U.S. Travel staff work in the office Tuesdays Wednesdays and Thursdays with the option to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.
  • An hourly wage of $20.00.
