Job Summary

Summary:

The U.S. Travel Association is seeking a Research & Data Analytics Intern to support the collection analysis and reporting of key travel industry metrics. This role offers hands-on experience working with real-world data and contributing to industry strategy and policy.

Responsibilities:

Compile data on travel industry performance including air travel hotel metrics international visitation consumer sentiment and related indicators.
Assist in analyzing survey data including reviewing for inconsistencies and validating responses.
Assist in creating and support analysis of event evaluation surveys.
Support research on travel trends including America 250-related activities and impacts.
Develop presentations and briefing materials by effectively communication research results internal and external audiences.

Qualifications:

Currently pursuing a degree in Economics Data Analytics Public Policy Hospitality or a related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint (experience with data visualization tools is a plus).
Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets.
Interest in travel tourism advocacy and/or economic trends.

Other:

Position based in Washington DC. U.S. Travel staff work in the office Tuesdays Wednesdays and Thursdays with the option to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.
An hourly wage of $20.00.
