The ARCEngineering BusinessBudgetForecasting & ResearchManagerserves as a strategic partner bridging technical execution with financial disciplineadvanced forecasting scenariobased business researchand operational excellence. This role ensures that engineering initiatives are aligned with business priorities financially sound and executed with clarity accountability and measurable impact.

Lead and shapeARC Business Research Unitfocused on fastscenariobasedmodeling
Provideforwardlookingguidanceacross labor industrial/IE GPSC/material flow robotics business and data science/AI
The ideal candidate combines strong business acumen financial fluency andadeep comfort in engineering/operations environments a bias for action and the ability to guide smart analysts in producing rapidresource optimization and long-term strategic planning.
What Youll Do
Financial Management Forecasting & Capital Planning
Leadfinancial planning forecasting and budget managementfor the ARC organization across capital expense and headcount.
Analyzecost structures ROI and investmenttradeoffsto supportdatadrivendecisionmakingand prioritization.
Monitorspendidentifyvariances and recommendcorrective actionstomaintainfinancial discipline.
Own or supportNPP ARs and investment cases; ensure proposals are aligned with strategic and financial goals.
EvaluateROI andtradeoffsto guide decisions on project sequencing scope and timing;identifyand trackoffsetsfor critical projects.
Forecast unapproved projects to supportaccurateoutyearandLongTermPlan (LTP)planning and performance tracking.
Ensurecapital cashand other financial targets are met; leadfinancedrivenrequests fordeferralsrephasing andadditionalfundingas.
Program Portfolio & Business Operations Support
Trackprogress risks and dependenciesacross ARC initiativeshighlighting business and financialimpactsand proposing mitigation paths.
Support portfolioprioritization and sequencing ensuring thehighestvalueautomation and robotics initiatives are resourced first.
Lead or supportrisk mitigation planning includingscenariobasedimpact assessments (upside/downside) and contingency options.
Develop andmaintaincost center structures track headcount and coordinate reorganizations and staffing changes in partnership with HR.
Drive core operating rhythmsincludingquarterly business reviews headcount planning resource allocation and portfolio performance reviews.
Strategic Planning &Leadership Support
Partner with ARC leadership to defineannual goals OKRs andlongrangeplansfor automation and robotics initiatives.
Translate ARC strategies intoactionable business plans budgets and investmentroadmaps.
Connect engineering and robotics work tobusiness impact ensuring clarity on value drivers risks and expected outcomes.
ARC Business Research & Scenario Modeling
Build and lead afastassumptiondrivenbusiness research capabilitythat frames how ARC should think about major automation deployment and sourcing decisions.
Develop andmaintainscenario modelsthat explicitly document assumptions sensitivities and ranges of outcomes rather thansinglepointestimates.
Complement Finance bybuilding financial context andfuturestatemodelsfor ARC automation and robotics initiativesexploring plausible scenarios andderiskingchoicesbefore complete data exists.
Standardize how assumptions are captured challenged and refreshed;establishclear accountability for assumptionsused in business cases and forecasts.
Create reusableframeworks and templatesfor recurring ARC decisionsand comparing scenarios (e.g. alternative deployment strategies timing options sourcing approaches) and articulatetradeoffsin terms of cost risk and strategic impact in areas such as Labor Finance Industrial/IE (BOM cost predictions break-even BOM and process optimization) GPSC/Material Flow Robotics Business (volume forecasts) andData Science/AI (scenario optimizer).
CrossFunctionalLeadership & Communication
Serve as a key liaison betweenEngineering Finance Manufacturing GPSC Product HR and IT/Data.
Prepare clear compellingmaterials for executive updates business reviews and strategic discussions including scenario comparisons and recommendation rationales.
Coach analysts and stakeholders inassumptiondriventhinking encouraging thoughtful bestguess guidance over analysis paralysis.
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
Bachelors degree in Business Finance Engineering ora relatedfield.
4years of experience in business operations financial analysisstrategyprogrammanagement.
Demonstrated experiencebuilding or leading complex financial models forecasts and scenario analysesin ambiguous orfastchangingenvironments.
Proven ability totranslate technical and operational information into clear business insightsand decision options.
Stronganalytical and financial skills including highproficiencywith spreadsheets and comfort withassumptiondrivenmodeling.
Excellentcommunication storytelling andstakeholdermanagementskills including experience presenting to senior leadership.
Experience leading or mentoringanalysts orcrossfunctionalteams setting priorities and managing workload in afastpacedenvironment.
What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (PreferredQualifications)
Experience inautomation robotics industrial engineering GPSC/material flow orengineeringdriven environments.
Advanced degree (MBA MS in Finance/Analytics or related field) preferred.
Experience withscenario modeling tools simulation or data science/AIdrivendecision support.
Demonstratedtrack recordofdriving fasterassumptiondrivendecisionsand improving ROI selection in complex portfolios.
Detailed Scope of Work / R&R:
Scope and prioritize all projects to meet NPP waterlines.
Author all NPP ARs and ensure alignment with strategic and financial goals.
Identifyoffsets for critical projects.
Ensureaccuratemonthly forecasting.
Lead all financial-driven requests for deferrals and offsets.
Ensure financial targets are met for Capital Cash.
Forecast unapproved projects to supportaccurateout-year planning.
Manageadditionalfunding requests and integration/ARs if.
Serve as gatekeeper for allARCprojects proposals.
Develop Long-Term Plan (LTP) and manage monthly forecasts and performance.
Lead risk mitigation activities as needed.
