Job Summary:

• Performs a full range of waived moderate and high-complexity testing; reports results.
• Confirms test results accuracy and precision.
• Reports laboratory findings to the pathologist and other physicians on a timely basis.
• Utilizes a complete understanding of testing procedures and theoretical knowledge to interpret results and troubleshoot problems encountered during testing.

Required Education:

• Associate degree (or equivalent) in a laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in a laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution

Required Experience:

• None

Required Certification/License/Registry:

• Licensed by the Florida Board of Clinical Laboratory Personnel as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in accordance with Florida Statutes (FS) Title XXXII (Regulation of Professions and Occupations) Chapter 483 (Health Testing Services) Part I (Clinical Laboratory Personnel) with added specialties in clinical chemistry and/or hematology and/or microbiology and/or serology.
