We are looking for a Director Installations Process Development to join our team in one of todays most exciting technologies. This role will report to the VP Customer Installations Group and will be based in San Jose CA. This is a fully on-site in office role 5 days a week.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Scope plan and execute a wide array of special engineering and construction projects to improve installation safety efficiency and quality through construction process innovation product evolutions and vertical integration strategies
- Work with external construction and installation partners to improve Installation Quality Field hour reductions and on-site project efficiency
- Develop and lead Blooms Installer model needs for USC&I installations
- Evaluate and identify requirements and risks of new products to installations working cross-functionally to ensure requirements are met install guidelines are updated and mitigate risks through the course of development
- Implement key strategic business initiatives with partners monitoring initial progress and then creating a path for self-sustainability
- Identify areas of improvement and vulnerability across the organization and make actionable recommendations
- Drive closure on issues preventing Installations success particularly on items that have no natural organizational home
- Mentor Installations employees to develop strategic problem solving sustainable process development and executive presentation skills
Skills and Experience:
- 15 years of experience in a cross-functional fast-paced environment with rapidly shifting priorities including at least 7-9 years of technical or construction project management experience
- Demonstrated success managing cross-functional teams through influence rather than authority
- Excellent executive communicator and presenter able to distill multi-faceted issues into concise key messages
- Proven track record of motivating and inspiring cross-functional teams to come together and develop creative solutions to challenging issues
- Ability to break down complex problems into root causes and provide meaningful actionable solutions
- Command of Microsoft Powerpoint and Excel; advanced experience is strongly preferred
- B.S. in Engineering with prior experience in distributed energy generation and construction strongly preferred
