Job Summary
- Assesses and monitors the medical needs of patients/significant others.
- Provides quality medical services to patients in a cost effective appropriate manner and ensures coverage of case load at all times.
- Provides input into the development of policies and procedures as they related to medical practice and quality patient care.
- Provides oversight of Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners and others providing delegated services to patients.
- Evaluates patients/significant others/staff educational needs and develops and implements appropriate teaching strategies or delegates to appropriate resources.
- Documents in a manner consistent with regulatory standards.
- Communicates with other members of the health care team in order to ensure continuity of care and coordination of services. Acts as a patient/family advocate.
- Participates in ongoing process improvement activities through the development/application of clinical paths process improvement and other related works with Corewell Health to meet financial and patient satisfaction goals.
- Required Doctorate
- LIC-Physician (MD) - STATEMI State of Michigan Upon Hire required Or
- LIC-Osteopathic Physician (DO) - STATEMI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
- CRT-DEA Registration - STATEMI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 120 Days required Or
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 120 Days required
- CRT-Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA American Heart Association If required by specialty or stress test performed 120 Days required
