AWC Staff Services are looking for an Electrician/Wireman for work with our client at Melksham Substation in Swindon.

About the role:

Electrical fitting activities on high voltage switch gear transformers and associated equipment
Installation of control and protection equipment
Installation of earthing systems
Installation of outdoor equipment such as bus bar disconnectors and switchgear
Maintenance of high voltage equipment
Fault finding on low and high voltage equipment
Receiving high voltage documents

To Apply for the role you must have yourNational Grid Persons Authorisation & Manual Handling along with experience working in a live substation environment.

Start: 11th May 2026
Duration: 5 Months
Rate: 32 Per Hour Paid CIS
