Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to join a high-acuity acute care hospital. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical expertise in L&D including the ability to circulate and be comfortable working in a fast-paced large hospital environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to labor and delivery patients
- Monitor maternal and fetal status throughout labor and delivery
- Assist with deliveries and surgical procedures including circulating
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Collaborate with obstetricians anesthesiologists and neonatal teams
- Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR
- Ensure patient safety and adherence to clinical protocols
Requirements:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (California required; pending not accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience (required)
- Experience in large hospital settings (highly preferred)
- Must be able to circulate (required)
- Certifications required:
- BLS
- ACLS
- NRP
- AWHONN Intermediate
- AWHONN Advanced (preferred)
