Position Summary
Verify load accuracy and product quality prior to shipment.
Position Responsibilities
- Responsible for independently verifying the accuracy and quality of all product listed on the specified load.
- Responsible to assure that all required documentation is properly filled our and signed prior to the release of the load for transport.
- Maintain cleanliness of working area.
- Other duties as assigned or requested by supervisor or group leader.
Qualifications
Position Requirements
- Must be able to read and understand shipping schedules comprehend both written and verbal instructions in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have the ability to plan loads and read loadsheets.
- Must be able to work flexible hours including early start times or later end times Saturdays and overtime as required.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen.
- Must follow and support all safety rules.
Physical requirements and work environment
- Physical: While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to walk stand crouch and kneel use hands to finger handle or feel objects tools; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear for extended periods of time usually the entire shift. The employee must be able to lift 70 pounds on a consistent basis. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
- Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the plant is high.
