JOB TITLE: Aircraft Interior Installation Technician IV - 2nd Shift
LOCATION: Dallas TX
PAY RATE: $33.81/hour

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

  • Perform aircraft interior removal installation fabrication and modification activities on corporate or commercial aircraft interiors under limited supervision.

  • Install and fabricate interior components including galleys closets lavatories bulkheads side ledges doors panels trim carpeting cabinetry and soundproofing materials in accordance with company and FAA standards.

  • Coordinate with Quality Inspection and supervision to ensure compliance with repair station procedures FAA regulations and quality specifications.

  • Mentor and train Interior Installation Technicians while reviewing completed work to ensure adherence to quality control standards.

  • Lead projects and support scheduling material procurement documentation and coordination with other departments as required.

  • Utilize material tracking systems to manage parts demand track discrepancies and complete work sign-offs.

  • Support process improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma methodologies to improve efficiency reduce costs and minimize cycle times.

  • Maintain compliance with safety housekeeping and 5S standards while operating hand and power tools in a manufacturing or maintenance environment.

Requirements:

  • Advanced experience with aircraft interior installation fabrication and modification processes.

  • Experience installing and removing:

    • Galleys

    • Closets

    • Lavatories

    • Bulkheads

    • Doors and panels

    • Side ledges and cabinetry

  • Experience working with aircraft interior materials including:

    • Nomex honeycomb panels

    • Fiberglass

    • Lexan

    • Acrylic materials

    • Composite structures

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints engineering drawings and technical documentation.

  • Proficient with hand tools power tools shop equipment and fabrication machinery.

  • Experience removing and reinstalling aircraft fasteners nut plates inserts and hardware fittings.

  • Ability to mentor junior technicians and oversee assigned projects or tasks.

  • Strong computer literacy and experience using material tracking systems.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work in confined spaces climb ladders/stairs lift up to 40 pounds and work flexible shifts.

  • Must be fluent in English.

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
