Ophthalmologist Comprehensive / Cataract Focus
Full-Time Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and collaborative Ophthalmologist to join a well-established and growing ophthalmology team. This opportunity offers a broad comprehensive practice with a strong focus on cataract surgery supported by advanced diagnostic technology modern surgical equipment and a highly collaborative clinical environment.

Physicians enjoy significant autonomy and flexibility to develop new clinical interests and expand procedural skills. The practice maintains strong referral relationships with optometrists emergency departments and primary care providers ensuring a steady and diverse patient population.

• Comprehensive ophthalmology practice with cataract focus
• Approximately 300 500 cataract procedures annually
• Modern state-of-the-art diagnostic and surgical equipment
• Newly developed clinical facility
• Extensive clinical support staff including technicians assistants and physician colleagues
• Lower patient volume expectations compared to traditional private practice settings allowing for enhanced patient care and work-life balance
• Strong subspecialty collaboration with:
  • 3 General Ophthalmologists
  • 2 Retina Specialists
  • 1 Glaucoma Specialist
• Freedom to expand procedural skills and develop areas of interest
• Informal teaching and mentorship opportunities available

• Full-Time (1.0 FTE)
• Monday Friday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
• Alternative schedule available:
  • 7:30 AM 5:30 PM with one weekday off every other week

• Hospital call rotation currently 1:5 transitioning to 1:7
• 30-minute beeper response time
• Minimal callback frequency
• Additional compensation or PTO available for callbacks

• MD or DO degree
• Completion of accredited Ophthalmology residency training
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Ophthalmology
• Eligibility for California medical licensure
• Team-oriented and collaborative mindset
• Residents and recent fellows encouraged to apply

• Starting salary: $385000 annually
• Progressive salary growth with annual increases up to approximately $480000 over time
• Annual market salary adjustments every July
• $220000 sign-on bonus (forgiven over 7 years)
• Annual incentive bonuses ranging from $8000 $12000
• Shareholder bonus eligibility after 3 years:
  • Typically $12000 $15000 annually
  • Maximum approximately $20000 annually
• Additional earning opportunities available

• Eligible for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF)
• Home Loan Program:
  • Up to 10% of home purchase price (maximum $250000)
  • Interest covered for 10 years
• Robust retirement package including:
