Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow SAM Pro Lead to lead enterprise-wide Software Asset Management (SAM) initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in ServiceNow SAM Pro software licensing compliance management asset lifecycle management and team leadership. This role will drive software governance license optimization audit readiness and process automation across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the end-to-end Software Asset Management (SAM) lifecycle including procurement deployment maintenance optimization and retirement of software assets.
  • Serve as the SME for ServiceNow SAM Pro implementation configuration and ongoing platform optimization.
  • Lead and mentor technical teams assigning tasks and ensuring timely delivery of project objectives.
  • Manage software entitlement records license positions installations and usage data.
  • Perform software reconciliation and compliance analysis to identify risks and optimization opportunities.
  • Conduct internal software audits and support external vendor audit activities.
  • Ensure accurate software inventory reporting documentation and governance controls.
  • Collaborate with Procurement IT Operations Security Finance and Vendor Management teams.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives and recommend automation strategies within the ServiceNow platform.
  • Develop dashboards KPIs reports and executive-level metrics for software usage and compliance.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities through license optimization and unused software reclamation.
  • Support regulatory financial and internal governance requirements related to software assets.
Required Skills:
  • 10 years of IT Asset Management / Software Asset Management experience.
  • 4 years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow SAM Pro.
  • Strong understanding of software licensing models (Microsoft Oracle IBM Adobe SAP etc.).
  • Experience with software reconciliation entitlement management and compliance reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of CMDB Discovery Asset Management and ITSM modules.
  • Experience with workflow automation scripting and ServiceNow platform customization.
  • Strong analytical reporting and data governance skills.
  • Experience leading teams and enterprise transformation initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • ServiceNow SAM Pro Certification
  • ITAM / SAM Certifications
  • Experience in large enterprise environments
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes
