Rate: W2: $67/hr. $6 margin ( Need a candidate on Client W2 and we get only $6 as margin)
Job Description
SMBC is driving a major Digital Transformation initiative across the Americas Division to modernize technology platforms strengthen data-driven capabilities and support future growth. We are seeking highly experienced Senior Data Engineers with 10 years of experience to join the Data Strategy team supporting SMBC Capital Markets and Nikko Securities Group.
The selected candidates will play a key role in designing and developing a strategic enterprise data platform on Azure Cloud starting with reference data systems for securities and pricing data and expanding into additional data domains.
Required Skills
- 10 years of experience as a Data Engineer
- Strong hands-on experience with Python and PySpark
- Extensive experience with Azure Cloud services including:
- Azure Data Factory
- Azure Data Lake Gen2
- Azure Databases
- Azure Data Fabric
- Azure Functions
- API Gateway Management
- Azure Databricks
- Strong SQL skills with RDBMS and NoSQL databases
- Experience developing APIs using FastAPI or similar Python frameworks
- Experience with Git Jenkins CI/CD and DevOps lifecycle
- Strong understanding of ETL/ELT processes
- Experience in Financial Services domain
- Knowledge of financial instruments asset classes and market data
