The successful candidate for this position will be a 1099 contractor with Music Ministry International and be responsible for the following:
1. DISCRIPTION OF SERVICES. The contractor shall provide all necessary personnel
supervision management tools equipment transportation materials and any other items or
services necessary to perform the Catholic organist services at Bldg 500 Zama Chapel Center
Camp Zama Japan in accordance with this Performance Work Statement (PWS) the attached
appendices and with commercial and local standards.
1.1. The contractor shall provide a Catholic Organist to assist the Catholic congregation in
worship at Bldg 500 Zama Chapel Center Camp Zama Japan. The Catholic Organist shall play
the organ/piano to provide instrumental music for the following services:
(a) Music worship 52 Services
(b) Rehearsal for music worship 52 Rehearsals
(c) Providing musical accompaniment for special music worship services (i.e. Christmas
Easter etc.). up to 16 events (either a rehearsal or service
1.2. The Catholic Organist shall support the Chaplaincys religious support mission by
providing professional technical assistance to bring worship services to the soldiers and their
families. The Catholic Organist shall also:
(a) Coordinate all musical selections with the Chaplain Pastor of the congregation or his/her
designated representative to select music in keeping with the theme of the worship service.
(b) Accompany choir/solo music presentations that enhance the atmosphere of worship for
the congregation.
(c) Coordinate with the worship leader and adjust tempo and style of choir accompaniment
to enhance the congregations ability to participate in worship.
1.3. The Government will provide an organ/piano to the contractor at the work site strictly for
the performance of this contract.
1.4. The Catholic Organist falls under the USAG-J Chaplains program as defined in the
Command Master Religious Program (CMRP). The mission of the Chaplains program is to
provide essential elements of the religious service to include worship service for all assigned
soldiers civilians and family members.

Candidates who do not possess the specific qualifications to accomplish the tasks in Section 1.1 above need not apply.
