Job Summary
RED. Recruitment is hiring a Senior Compliance Manager on behalf of its client an international technology and software company operating across multiple jurisdictions.
The role is part of the Legal and amp; Compliance function and focuses on global compliance program management sanctions compliance export controls risk management internal controls regulatory monitoring compliance training and operational compliance processes.
The Senior Compliance Manager will work closely with Legal People Finance Sales Engineering Product Security Partnerships and other internal teams to reduce regulatory and operational risks and support a strong compliance culture across the organisation.
Responsibilities
The Senior Compliance Manager will develop maintain and improve the companys global compliance program across current and future entities.
The role will include updating compliance policies procedures controls and documentation in line with regulatory requirements and business needs.
A key focus will be the ownership of sanctions compliance and export controls including screening processes classification end-user and end-use due diligence and related regulatory obligations.
The successful candidate will support compliance across multiple jurisdictions including the EU UK US APAC and Middle East while monitoring regulatory developments and adapting internal processes accordingly.
The role will also cover compliance training risk assessments incident response internal investigations mitigation follow-up and reporting.
The Senior Compliance Manager will oversee Due Diligence Questionnaires for customers vendors partners and other third parties ensuring timely coordination and delivery.
The position will also support audits and assurance processes including ISO 27001 SOC 2 internal audits customer audits and regulatory inspections.
The role may include managing paralegals compliance specialists or other support resources involved in legal and compliance workflows.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a Masters degree in Law Business Governance Risk and amp; Compliance or a related field.
At least 7 years of experience in compliance risk legal operations regulatory compliance internal controls or a related function is expected.
Experience in an international environment is important ideally within software SaaS DaaS subscription-based technology data platforms cybersecurity AI-driven products fintech commodities technology or other regulated digital businesses.
Strong hands-on experience with sanctions compliance and export controls is required.
The candidate should understand compliance frameworks risk management internal controls policy development reporting and compliance governance.
Experience working with cross-functional teams such as Legal Finance People Sales Engineering Product Security and Partnerships is essential.
Strong English communication organisational analytical reporting and policy-writing skills are required.
Nice to Have
Certification in sanctions and export controls.
Knowledge of cybersecurity ESG AI governance DORA vendor risk management or third-party risk.
Familiarity with ISO 27001 and SOC 2.
Privacy certifications such as CIPP/E CIPM or CIPT.
