Basic Job Functions:
The role of the Crane and Mobile Maintenance Technician includes but is not limited to maintaining all plant mobile equipment and overhead traveling cranes troubleshooting preventive maintenance ordering parts preparing work orders and ensuring safety is always the first concern while working at extreme heights and in demanding environments. Ability to work rotating shift scheduled and unscheduled overtime including nights weekends and holidays. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of industrial maintenance experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with VFDs AC motors and motor controls
- Mechanical power transmission and machine alignment
- Fluid power systems
- Diesel engine / Automotive repair
- Experience with PLCs
