JOB SUMMARY:

Under general supervision this position administers the daily administration of standardized exams and completes the required documentation. Assist students with the test registration process and testing procedures. Ensures test security in an environment that is conducive to student success.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist students with the registration process for test administration.
  • Explain and enforce testing policies procedures and guidelines to ensure compliance.
  • Administer examinations in strict accordance with detailed testing administration manual and protocols.
  • Process monitor and track online placement examinations to ensure accurate records.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues related to online testing platforms;
  • Create and maintain weekly testing schedules and coordinate staffing assignments.
  • Administer testing sessions and accommodations for students with disabilities in accordance with approved guidelines.
  • Support and assist part-time testing staff to ensure consistent and effective operations.
  • Completes all other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors degree required or an equivalent combination of education and responsible directly related professional experience demonstrating administrative competence.
  • Minimum of six (6) months of directly related experience administering standardized assessments in an educational or testing environment.
  • Qualifying experience may include service as a teacher instructional tutor or authorized test proctor with responsibility for test administration activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to administer and monitor standardized tests in accordance with publisher guidelines (e.g. TABE) and established testing protocols.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and compliance with test security confidentiality and integrity requirements including proper handling of testing materials and adherence to documentation procedures.
  • Ability to ensure accurate consistent and compliant assessment administration to support valid and reliable testing outcomes.
  • Strong technology skills including experience using computerbased testing platforms databases and digital reporting tools required for assessment administration.
  • Proven effectiveness in customer service with the ability to interact professionally with students staff and campus stakeholders.

Additional requirements:

  • Availability to work a flexible schedule including both day and evening shifts each week.
  • Ability to participate in meetings events and exams at other Indian River State College campuses with limited travel required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This position classifies the physical exertion requirements as light work involving lifting no more than 20 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds. Even though the weight lifted may be very little a job is in this category when it requires a good deal of walking or standing or when it involves sitting most of the time with some pushing and pulling of arm or leg controls. To be considered capable of performing a full or wide range of light work you must have the ability to do substantially all of these activities. If someone can do light work we determine that he or she can also do sedentary work unless there are additional limiting factors such as loss of fine dexterity or inability to sit for long periods of time.
