We are seeking expressions of interest from internal staff for a short-term Acting Service Manager opportunity (4 weeks) within Operations. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a leadership role and further develop your management capability while supporting high-quality outcomes for people with disability.

About the Role
The Acting Service Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operational management of supported accommodation or respite services ensuring high-quality person-centred supports are delivered
Key responsibilities include:
Providing leadership and coaching to Disability Support Workers to deliver consistent high-quality support
Ensuring person-centred plans are in place and outcomes are achieved for clients
Managing service performance including staffing rostering and financial oversight
Driving a culture of quality compliance and continuous improvement
Maintaining strong relationships with clients families and key stakeholders
Supporting team capability development supervision and performance management
- Promoting a positive homelike environment that supports wellbeing and inclusion
This role reports to the Group Manager of Specialist Services and plays a critical part in maintaining high standards of care safety and team engagement.
About You
You are an emerging or experienced leader with a passion for person-centred service delivery and supporting people with disability to achieve their goals.
- Strong leadership capability with the ability to motivate and develop teams
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a complex environment
- A commitment to quality compliance and continuous improvement
- Sound problem-solving and decision-making skills
Demonstrated ability to provide consistent highlevel support to clients with complex and intensive needs
Previous experience in SDA settings along with care rostering and scheduling systems such as Skedulo will be highly regarded
Comprehensive knowledge of the disability sector NDIS including legislative requirements service standards and staff management best practice
Previous experience in disability services and supporting teams in a service delivery environment will be highly regarded.

- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current First Aid & CPR certification (HLTAID011)
- Current Australian Drivers Licence
- International Police Check (if required)
- Willingness to undertake psychometric assessment
- Relevant tertiary qualification and/or significant experience in human services
