An exciting opportunity has arisen and we are currently recruiting for an experienced Case Handler who will predominantly assist Senior Case Handlers dealing with catastrophic injury cases which could include brain injuries spinal injuries fatal injury claims and serious polytrauma.
Job Role
Assisting senior Case Handlers on catastrophic injury cases which will include the following duties:
- Taking full responsibility for tasks delegated to you by senior case handlers to ensure the progression of their files such as liability investigations gathering of medical evidence liaising with the courts and counsel arranging conferences and organising payments for treatment and case management amongst other tasks as necessary.
- Complying fully with agreed service standards.
- Communicating effectively with the Senior Case handers their clients opponents and our insurer clients.
- Attending and participating in weekly meetings.
- Attendance at networking events and business development.
- Dealing with administration and any other duties as required.
- Supervision of a junior case handling assistant.
Experience:
The successful candidate needs to have excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise urgent tasks. You must be computer literate and able to undertake your own typing and be able to produce bundles.
You must have experience of having run your own litigated case load.
Key skills/competencies:
The successful applicant will display excellent communication and organisation skills with an ability to always work in line with deadlines. You should have a common-sense approach to work showing enthusiasm and initiative as a team player with an ability to manage expectations from both internal and external clients.
Hours of Work:
To be discussed at interview.
Hybrid Working:
This role would be based in our Bristol office with a combination of home and office working You would therefore need the infrastructure in place to work from home and will be provided with a company laptop.
