The Warranty Manager will be primarily responsible for driving warranty cases and controlling costs for the PC installed base in the region. The role involves managing warranty claims in alignment with company processes and collaborating closely with operational leaders. The Warranty Manager will also partner with business project managers and (system) engineering teams to identify the right solutions and ensure timely and effective customer resolution.Job Description
Tasks
- Own warranty claims and drive their resolution
- Perform periodic analysis of defects and their respective costs utilizing this information to drive change back to the functions reducing long term risks associated with GEs warranty budget
- Support the continued development along with communication to lean and improve the warranty processes with visible metrics and scorecards
- Drive adoption of and ensure compliance with all standards and processes driven out of simplification and synergies with our Service business to provide world class customer service for our customers
- Partner closely with Service business teams and leaders to assist in development and build out of Service business offering and successes
- Utilize field driven defect data to drive product improvements through pertinent functions
- Communicate Daily and Weekly Status issues and resolution of warranty claims emerging issues to the Local Warranty Leader.
- Drive Warranty cost reduction activity through trend analysis creative thinking and collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Partner with Sourcing to drive vendor recovery process on Flow parts as well as capital components
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent qualifications
- Ability to understand technical issues and facilitate technical discussions with customer and cross-functional team
- Knowledge and experience with SAP modules and Servicemax

- Previous sourcing & supplier recovery experience and/or Services experience
- Strong analytical ability to sort cut and manipulate past warranty and fleet performance data into actionable and meaningful goals and objectives
- Ability to react appropriately in a fast paced high volume role
- Strong computer skills (must be competent in SAP SFDC MS Office)
