Job Summary
Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate evening caregiver to assist an elderly couple in their home in Chuluota FL. This role focuses on companionship evening routine support and light household tasks.
Client Details:
- Husband (88) ambulatory has aphasia (difficulty speaking)
- Wife (84) ambulatory mild short-term memory issues
- Both clients can feed and bathe themselves
- Family members live in the home but have limited availability to assist
Responsibilities:
- Provide companionship and supervision during evening hours
- Assist with redirection especially with bedtime routine
- Light housekeeping (e.g. cleaning dinner dishes tidying kitchen)
- Medication reminders
- Ensure a calm and safe evening environment
Requirements:
- Experience with dementia memory care or communication challenges (preferred)
- Patient attentive and able to provide gentle redirection
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to work evening shifts consistently
Additional Information:
- No pets in the home
- Daytime caregivers are already in place
- Start date: ASAP
