Job: Summer Delivery Helper
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Hourly Full-Time
Season: 5/18/26 - 9/4/26
Reports to: Delivery Manager
Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:15am start
Pay Range: $18.00 - $19.00
Position Objective:
The Delivery Helper supports the Delivery Driver in efficiently delivering beverage orders to our retail accounts. This role does not involve driving but is critical to ensuring accurate timely deliveries and excellent customer service. The Delivery Helper assists with navigation and order verification to support a smooth delivery process.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist the CDL Driver in loading and unloading beverage products safely and efficiently
- Navigate and provide directions to ensure timely delivery to customer accounts
- Ensure accurate product counts and proper handling of product
- Collect empty containers and returns as required by the retailer
- Load and return dunnage pallets and load bars to the warehouse
- Assist with product placement at retail locations including lifting and moving cases kegs and pallets as needed and ensuring older stock is in front and newer stock is in back
- Maintain delivery logs paperwork and electronic tracking systems accurately
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns to the Delivery Manager
- Collect payment and reconcile invoices as required
- Provide professional and courteous customer service addressing questions or concerns on-site
- Maintain a professional and respectful attitude with all customers co-workers and management
- Stay current with all required training and compliance
Qualifications & Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required
Core Competencies:
- Accuracy and attention to detail in product delivery and documentation
- Strong customer service orientation
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Flexibility to adapt to varying delivery schedules and priorities
Physical Demands & Working Environment:
- Frequent lifting carrying pushing pulling and maneuvering of cases kegs pallets and other inventory items
- Ability to roll a ½ keg 165lbs onto and off of a hand truck
- Ability to lift 2 cases of beer up to a maximum of 55lbs
- Climbing stairs and in and out of trucks
- Prolonged periods of standing walking or kneeling while performing tasks
- Prolonged periods of sitting while CDL Driver is driving
- Repetitive movements such as bending twisting reaching and handling merchandise
- Ability to safely operate hand trucks pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment
- Exposure to a range of temperatures including refrigerated and freezer areas
- Work conducted both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions including heat cold rain and snow
