The Opportunity
The Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering team has an exciting opportunity for an Indigenous Community Research Assistant.
In this role youll work closely with Victorian Aboriginal communities and organisations acting as a vital connector between community voices and the research team. Youll support community consultation assist with data collection and play a key role in codesigning a new wearable system - shaping its usability interface design and culturally grounded interaction methods.
As the successful candidate you will contribute to highquality research under limited supervision working both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Youll help produce conference papers seminar presentations and publications that share the outcomes of this work. Youll also have opportunities to engage in professional activities including attending relevant conferences and seminars (subject to available funding) helping you grow your expertise and expand your network.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong educational background or substantial relevant skills and work experience. The role requires a Bachelor or . or a doctoral qualification in the relevant discipline or a closely related field.
