PRN Histology Technician Histotechnologist

Lighthouse Lab Services is partnering with a European diagnostics company that has recently launched new laboratory operations in Kannapolis NC. We are seeking a PRN Histotechnologist to support histology and molecular workflowsparticularly those related to cancer marker testing.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Histotech who enjoys flexible scheduling wants to stay hands-on in the lab and is interested in exposure to advanced molecular diagnostics.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine histology procedures including embedding microtomy and staining (H&E and special stains)
• Assist with molecular pathology workflows including cancer marker testing
• Ensure high-quality slide preparation and adherence to laboratory protocols
• Maintain compliance with CAP/CLIA standards
• Provide on-site technical support in coordination with the remote Laboratory Director

Requirements

• HT or HTL (ASCP) certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical or reference histology lab
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Experience with cancer-related specimens or molecular workflows is a plus
• Familiarity with CAP inspections and regulatory standards preferred
• Reliable organized and self-motivated

Position Details

• PRN / As-needed schedule (anticipated daytime hours; flexible based on lab needs)
• Opportunity for consistent part-time hours depending on workload
• Pay: $35$40/hour depending on experience
• Potential for ongoing or long-term engagement
