As a Locum MD Hospitalist you will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to hospitalized patients. You will work closely with nursing staff and specialists to ensure that all patient needs are met efficiently and effectively. Responsibilities
Provide high-quality medical care to hospitalized patients
Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop treatment plans
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care
Manage acute medical conditions and coordinate follow-up care
Document patient information accurately and timely in medical records
Respond to patient inquiries and address concerns promptly
Participate in hospital committees and quality improvement initiatives
Adhere to hospital policies and procedures while delivering care
Requirements
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
Board certification in Internal Medicine preferred
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Hospitalist
Strong clinical skills and ability to manage complex cases
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Current state medical license and DEA registration
Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
Schedule: 7p-7a 7 on/7 off
Patient Volume: 8 admissions per night
Duties: Round on patients admit patients provide rapid responses teach residents and handle issues on the floor
Support Staff: Residents
EMR: Meditech
Must be board-certified
