Job Summary
The Planning & Performance (P&P) team within Amazon Air determines where air capacity is needed designs networks to deliver the fastest possible service and partners with operators to bring those plans to life. We balance speed cost and quality across a complex growing operation.
Were looking for a Senior Planner to lead network and capacity planning for our external Air Cargo business. Youll bring supply chain and program management expertise to a high-visibility role shaping how Amazon delivers for customers beyond our own marketplace. Air cargo experience is a plus but not required.
Key job responsibilities
- Design and operationalize product offerings for external Air Cargo customers leveraging the scale and flexibility of the Amazon Air network
- Drive the development of new processes and technology to optimize capacity allocation between internal and external customers
- Influence the long-term network strategy
- Analyze historical shipment data and demand forecasts to identify network optimization opportunities
- Serve as the primary liaison between AIR Planning & Performance (P&P) and Amazon Air Cargo (ACAR) ensuring alignment on priorities constraints and opportunities
- Develop scenario models for new routes seasonal demand shifts and capacity constraints across both customer segments
- Present strategy recommendations and trade-off analyses to senior leadership
About the team
The Planning & Performance (P&P) team within Amazon Air is responsible for network planning scheduling and revenue management. This role sits at the intersection of P&P and Amazon Air Cargo serving as the primary bridge between teams. Youll understand customer needs constraints and opportunities on both sides helping guide the future network toward serving more customers. Were a team of planners analysts and program managers who value analytical rigor bias for action and building from scratch in a fast-paced collaborative environment.
- 5 years of program or project management experience
- 5 years of supply chain experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy end to end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership
- 2 years of driving process improvements experience
- 5 years of cargo or passenger airline network planning or revenue management experience

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
