Job Description:
We are seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide comprehensive respiratory care services in a hospital setting. The therapist will work under medical direction to assess treat and manage patients with cardiopulmonary conditions ensuring high-quality patient-centered care.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver respiratory therapy treatments and diagnostic evaluations
- Assist with intubation and manage ventilators
- Perform airway management and arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis
- Assess patient conditions and develop appropriate care plans
- Educate patients and caregivers on respiratory conditions and treatments
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Ensure adherence to departmental policies and clinical standards
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
- Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience (3 years preferred)
- Strong skills in mechanical ventilation and airway management
- Excellent communication critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Certifications & Licensure:
- NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification (required)
- Current New Jersey Respiratory Care license (required)
- BLS ACLS and PALS certifications (AHA required)
