DCS Installation Assessment Engineer

• Work with proposal offer owners and sales to get familiar with project scope and supply chain to pre-qualify contractors appropriate to the scope of work.

• Support site walkdowns with the appropriate potential vendors in order to obtain competitive bids for the scope of work required by the customer specification.

• Create Scope of Work (SOW) documents that meet scope requirements based on industry knowledge walkdowns and input from the proposal offer owner.

• Evaluate vendor quotes for accuracy and work with the project teams to develop optimized outage plans and schedules.

• Drive consistency and accuracy in the sub-contractor bidding process to improve project cost estimates while minimizing technical risk and that drive best cost solutions

• Manage relationships with existing sub-contractors and foster relationships with future potential sub-contractors to ensure best cost pricing and a cohesive approach to projects while optimizing the EPC proposal process

• BS degree in Engineering Computer Science or a related STEM fieldor equivalent combination of education and experience.

• 10 years of relevant experience in either electrical or mechanical installation with emphasis in control systems and/or process operation

• Ability to travel 30-50%
• Legal authorization to work in the United States. Sponsorship will not be provided for this position.
  

• Knowledge of control systems such as PLC DCS or SCADA.

• Familiarity with the Emerson Ovation platform including space power and grounding considerations.

• Understanding of project labor requirements subcontractor coordination or field installation practices.
  

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary within the local market in which we operate and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The salary range for this role is $145000- 160000 commensurate with the skills talent capabilities and experience each candidate brings to a role.
