POSITION SPECIFICS
The Director of Investigations plays a critical leadership role in advancing the Universitys ethics and compliance program with primary responsibility for complex investigations hotline oversight and institutional risk management. This role ensures adherence to applicable laws regulations and University policies while fostering a culture of integrity accountability and ethical conduct across the campus community.
Key Responsibilities
The position leads independent and highprofile investigations oversees and modernizes the Office of Ethics and Compliance (OEC) Hotline and investigation process and serves as a central coordination point among investigative and stakeholder units. Working closely with university leadership and key partners the role provides strategic guidance supervises investigative staff and ensures timely fair and effective resolution of compliance concerns in alignment with institutional values and regulatory expectations.
This is a hybrid position that combines remote and on-campus working.

MINIMUM EDUCATION WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS
Bachelors Degree 8 years of relevant experience includes 3 years of supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted Required Certifications: NoneBACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES
This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check.Penn State does not sponsor or take over sponsorship of a staff employment Visa. SALARY & BENEFITS
The salary range for this position including all possible grades is $97100.00 - $145700.00.Salary Structure - Information on Penn States salary structure

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988 Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR).
