Excavation Operator ( Heavy Equipment Operator)

Pay:$25-40 DOE

Schedule: Day Shift

Location: Oregon City & Surrounding areas

Company Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Excavation Operator to operate heavy equipment such as excavators for commercial and/or residential construction projects. The ideal candidate has experience in trenching grading utility work and site preparation with a strong understanding of job site safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate excavators and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently

• Perform trenching grading backfilling and site preparation

• Dig around utilities with precision (water sewer electrical etc.)

• Read and interpret blueprints site plans and grade stakes

• Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance

• Follow all OSHAand company safety protocols

• Communicate with supervisors spotters and crew members

• Maintain clean and organized job sites

• Assist with general labor tasks as needed

Qualifications:

• 2 years of experience operating excavators (more for commercial roles)

• Ability to operate equipment with precision and control

• Experience working around underground utilities

• Knowledge of grades elevations and site layout

• Valid drivers license (CDL a plus)

• Abilityto work in various weather and site conditions

• Strong work ethic and reliability

Preferred Experience:

• Commercial construction or civil/site development

• Pipe laying or utility installation

• GPS machine control systems (Topcon Trimble etc.)

• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit stand and operate equipment for extended periods

• Lift up to 50 lbs as needed

• Work in outdoor environments including uneven terrain

Compensation:

• Pay: $28$40 per hour depending on experience

• Potential overtime available
