SSI is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for a role in Colorado Springs CO.
You will support a team of multi-disciplined engineers and analysts to coordinate with government and partner space operations and technical experts to develop Human Resource Information Technologies using systems engineering rigor and integration expertise. We are looking for self-motivated enthusiastic people who are excited about taking on a variety of challenges as we continue to develop a test and training enterprise solution and support the USSF and Joint warfighting community. You will be able to work under only very general supervision. Occasional travel may be required to engage with key stakeholders.
Role and Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for interfacing with all program offices to facilitate rigorous systems engineering practices processes and documentation.
- Provide operational support to capabilities and system development integration test and transition.
- Provide technical analysis and oversight engineering expertise program management and shaping development to the USSFs Operational Test and Training Infrastructure (OTTI) and TMM.
- Coordinate Government activities and contractor sub-contractor and vendor systems engineering efforts throughout the system life cycle.
- Conduct model-based systems engineering and modeling simulation and analysis as needed.
- Conduct and maintain Configuration Management of the program technical baseline.
- Manage risk management processes and methods for identifying and adjudicating program risk; Conduct analysis to identify program risk areas and recommend/implement risk reduction measures.
- Develop processes for systems engineering management and mission integration efforts to include disparate engineering functions strategies and integration of operational and other types of mission areas
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in an engineering mathematics physics or equivalent technical discipline and 14 or more years of systems integration and systems engineering related or equivalent experience.
- Experience with the following:
- Leading combined hardware/software and/or space/ground integration activities.
- Using model-based system engineering tools and methods.
- Systems architecting mission integration and systems engineering process support.
- Applying Agile and/or DevOps development processes.
- Must have a TS/SCI clearance.
- Travel is 25%
Desired Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in engineering science or related technical field.
- Experience within the Space Test and Training mission areas.
- Experience working in a development environment and/or a U.S. Government weapons system program office.
- Professional certification (e.g. Professional Engineer INCOSE CSEP PMP)
$180000 - $230000 a year
Target salary range: $180000 - $230000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range and bonus potential for this position based on experience and other factors.
