Job Summary
Foley Entertainment Group (FEG) the parent company for the Vegas Golden Knights (VGK) the Henderson Silver Knights (HSK) and the Vegas Knight Hawks (VKH) have set the standard for professional sports in the greater Las Vegas community. We are seeking highly motivated security staff to work at the Lees Family Forum in Henderson NV.
Responsibilities:
- Provides safety and security of the building
- Monitor and controls guests entering and exiting venue
- Monitors enforces and reports any violations of company policies venue rules and any applicable local state and/or federal laws.
- Interacts with guests client of venue and/or local law enforcement
- Quick reaction to responding to emergency situations such as threats fires safety hazard medical emergencies etc.
- Be proactive respond to and resolve all customer complaints requests and inquiries
- Handle difficult fans and situations in a calm and professional manner
Required Knowledge/Skills/Job Qualifications:
- Must have at least 1 year of experience working in the security / venue industry.
- Must be able to be flexible at various posts and be/become knowledgeable in job requirements policies procedures
- Excellent Communication Skills - interpersonal verbal and written.
- Problem Solver Creative Detail Orientated Team Player
- Time Management skills and work with a sense of urgency
- Excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact comfortably and effectively with clients and colleagues
- Ability to perform duties in a professional manner and appearance
- Ability to make independent and good judgement decisions within policy and procedures.
- Acute sense of judgement
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook Word Excel etc.)
- Experience with CCTV monitoring and Report Writing programs.
Requirements:
- A valid TAM card
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be at least the age of 21 years old
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Able to have a flexible schedule to work any shift including weekends holidays last minute coverage.
- Ability to meet scheduling needs including evenings weekends and high-demand event periods (minimum commitment required of three (3) events per month)
Physical Demands:
- Standing and Walking: This position requires the ability to stand and walk for extended periods to conduct patrols monitor access points and respond to incidents. The ability to alternate between sitting and standing may be required.
- Climbing and Ascending: The ability to climb stairs and/or ramps to patrol multi-level structures including arena seating areas is required.
- Lifting and Carrying: The ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis. This may include items such as emergency equipment barriers or assisting with minor crowd control-related tasks.
- Pushing and Pulling: The ability to push and pull doors gates and crowd control barriers.
- Stooping Bending and Reaching: The ability to stoop bend and reach above the shoulders to access equipment perform inspections or assist with a variety of tasks in confined or elevated spaces.
- Communication: Must be able to communicate effectively and audibly with individuals and teams often in a loud environment.
- Repetitive Motions: The use of hands fingers and arms to operate various tools communication devices (e.g. radios) and access control systems is required.
Work Environment:
- Noise Level: The work environment is consistently loud and can be extremely noisy during events. This requires the ability to work effectively amidst significant crowd noise music and other audio distractions.
- Crowd Density: The employee must be able to work comfortably and safely in heavily crowded areas and to navigate through dense pedestrian traffic.
- Temperature & Weather: This position may require working outdoors exposed to all weather conditions including heat cold rain or wind. Indoor work may also expose the employee to varying temperatures.
- Exposure: The work environment may involve exposure to bright lights strobe lights and dust.
