Payroll Specialist

Position: PAYROLL SPECIALIST

Location: Uinta County School District #1 Evanston Wyoming

Salary: 4-7; $18.00 per hour; full benefits

Hours: 8 hours per day; 12 months

Qualifications:

1. The ability to be confidential in all areas.

2. Minimum of three years payroll experience preferred.

3. Demonstrate management and organizational skills with the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

4. Attention to detail ability to meet deadlines and good customer service skills.

5. Database information processing and Microsoft Office experience.

6. Skill in the operation of an automated payroll processing system preferred.

7. Prepare and maintain:

• Certificated and classified regular and supplemental payrolls.

• Payroll and financial reports

• Employee and retiree health insurance premium payments and records.

• Verification of employment unemployment insurance audits etc.

• Salary and benefit calculations for District budget and negotiation purposes.

• Computerized Position Control System.

• Warrants for employee benefit programs and voluntary deductions.

• W-2s 1095s 941s and other government reports and forms.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.
