UW Medical Center-Montlake - Urology Clinichas an outstanding opportunity for an Assistant Nurse Manager. This is a supervisory position reporting to the Clinic Manager.

WORK SCHEDULE

  • Full time / 40 hours per week
  • Day shifts between 7:00am and 5:00pm; the exact start times may vary by day
  • Must be available to work Monday-Friday
  • Our clinic is closed on nights weekends and holidays

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

The Urology Clinic at UW Medical Center-Montlakediagnoses and treats patients with urologic cancer and general urology conditions. The clinic hosts the Bladder Cancer Multispecialty Clinic and the Prostate Cancer Multispecialty Clinic. UW Medical Center-Montlake Urology was recently recognized as a UW Medicine Patient Experience Top Performer for Medical Practice.

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

  • Supervise a dynamic ambulatory team
  • Work closely with the Clinic Manager to facilitate daily operations and projects
  • Foster a positive work environment and promote staff development

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establishes credibility as the leader of day-to-day clinic operations
  • Identifies staff and resource problems and takes necessary steps towards a resolution
  • Provides feedback to the Clinic Manager for annual performance evaluations
  • Schedules staff work hours
  • Resolves unplanned absences following Ambulatory Services Resource Pool Protocols
  • Develops coordinates and maintains work processes to ensure the clinic runs successfully
  • Establishes and maintains safety and emergency protocols for the clinic
  • Interviews Registered Nurses and Medical Assistants
  • Manages orientation andeducational programs for newly-hired staff
  • Promotes effective communication among staff and patients
  • Performs general clinic RN responsibilities (Epic InBasket triage telephone triage care coordination)

REQUIREMENTS

  • 2 years of recent oncology urology medical-surgical or ambulatory nursing experience
  • Previous charge lead or supervisory nursing experience
  • BLS
  • Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State

Compensation Benefits and Position Details

Pay Range Minimum:

$49.23 hourly

Pay Range Maximum:

$90.33 hourly

Other Compensation:

BSN (or higher) premium - $1.00/hour Certification premium - $1.25/hour Overtime pay
