Data Scientist

Job Duties: Design develop and apply DS solutions to inform improvements in advertiser experience as well as Reddit ad platform and marketplace performance. Analyse large-scale datasets to identify trends patterns and insights that can be used to improve the effectiveness of our advertising platform. Collaborate with product managers and engineers to define product requirements and translate them into data science solutions. Develop Machine Learning models and Data Science methods to improve anomaly detection prediction and pattern recognition. Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders across the organization. Telecommuting permitted.

Minimum Requirements: Masters degree (or its foreign equivalent) in Computer Science Information Management Statistics Mathematics or closely related quantitative field and two (2) years of experience in data science machine learning or a related field.

Special Skill Requirements: (1) Statistical modelling (2) Machine learning algorithms (3) Causal inference (4) Experimentation design (5) Large-scale data processing and analysis using tools such as Spark Hadoop or Hive (6) Python or R (7) Machine learning libraries such as scikit-learn TensorFlow or PyTorch (8) SQL and relational databases Any suitable combination of education training and experience is acceptable. Experience can be gained through coursework scholastic achievement or work experience.

In addition to base salary this job is eligible to receive equity in the form of restricted stock units and depending on the position offered it may also be eligible to receive a commission. The base pay range for this position is: $164200.00 - $229900.00 USD
