Position Title: Registered Nurse Wound Care Location: New York NY 10037 Employment Type: Contract (13 Weeks) Extension/Permanent Placement Possible
Compensation:
Local Rate: Up to $2160/week
Travel Rate: Up to $2712/week (inclusive of stipend)
Weekly Hours: 3840 hours Schedule: 4 shifts per week (approximately 9.510 hours per shift)
Position Overview
The Registered Nurse Wound Care specializes in the assessment management and ongoing care of patients with wound ostomy and continence needs. This role involves developing individualized care plans coordinating with interdisciplinary teams and promoting best practices to improve patient outcomes. The position also includes patient education staff training and participation in quality improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive assessments related to wound ostomy and continence care
Develop and implement individualized patient care plans
Recommend appropriate treatments medications and clinical interventions
Monitor evaluate and document patient progress and outcomes
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Educate patients families and clinical staff on wound care and prevention
Participate in quality improvement and clinical development programs
Support development of care standards and selection of supplies/equipment
Provide training and orientation to nursing staff
Ensure compliance with patient privacy and data protection standards
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience
Prior experience in wound care and ostomy management
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Education
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN/ASN) from an accredited institution
Licensure & Certifications
Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License
NYSED License Verification
Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
