Job Title: Patient Care Technician (PCT)
Location: Joplin MO
Shift: 12-hour Day Shifts
Schedule: 36 hours per week

Job Overview
A healthcare facility in Joplin MO is seeking compassionate and skilled Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) to join the Medical Support Services team. The PCT will work closely with nurses and clinical staff to deliver high-quality patient-centered care in a hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing feeding hygiene and mobility
- Monitor record and report vital signs and patient condition changes to nursing staff
- Assist nurses with procedures treatments and clinical tasks
- Support patient transfers ambulation and proper positioning
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities
- Ensure a clean safe and organized patient environment
- Respond promptly to patient needs call lights and emergencies
- Assist with specimen collection and basic clinical procedures as directed
- Follow all infection control safety and hospital policies and protocols
- Provide emotional support and ensure patient comfort and dignity
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- CNA or PCT certification preferred
- Prior experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and maintain a full-time schedule
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic understanding of patient care and medical terminology
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team-based environment
- Physical ability to lift move and assist patients safely
- Strong commitment to patient safety confidentiality and quality care
