Advisor, Production Planning

The Role:

The Production Planner prioritizes sales orders to create and implement a weekly production schedule consistent with the plant capacity and sales forecast. Production Planner ensures that all materials and resources are available to fulfill customer orders in the mostcost effectiveand efficient manner.

In this role you will:

1.Generate twelve weekly rolling production schedules for finished goods and intermediates basedon demand capacity and raw material availability.

2.Work with the shop floor team to drive schedule adherence bymaintainingaccurateproductionstart dates while taking into consideration resource constraints.

3.Review rush batches for orders requested inside the standard production lead time and provideupdatedcommitments to customer service.

4.Identifybatch sizes for optimization to ensure production isin syncwith demand.

5.Provideweekly rolling production schedulesto support production forHVM products andNPIproducts.

6.Work withcustomer facingteam tomonitorcustomer safety stock level andmanagesafety stocklevelto fulfill customerexpectation.

7.Reviewsemi-finish goodsmaterial (abrasives)inventory against present and anticipateddemand and engage central planning andpurchasingteam when necessary.

8.Participateinweeklycross-functional production planning meetings.

Traits we believe make a strong candidate:

1. B.A. / B.S. degree in Supply Chain Planning or1 years of work experience.

2.Technical

(1)Knowledgeof supply chain processes and procedures including manufacturing planning demand and replenishment processes.

(2) Strong systems / process orientation withdemonstratedanalytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

(3) Proficient in MS office applications.

(4)Working knowledge ofSAP modules.

3. Behavioral

(1) Strong negotiation skills with the ability to reason and influence at all levels.

(2) Strong communication and presentation skills.

(3) Ability to work with remote team members in other locations.

(4) Ability to work in ateam orientedenvironment whiledemonstratingflexibility to perform in multi-task situations.
