Delivery Driver Doors

Position SummaryWe are seeking a Full-Time Driver to join our team. The shifts are Monday - Friday 7am - 3:30pm. The wage range is $25 - $28 per hour plus up to $4 per unit delivery ResponsibilitiesDriving 3-ton and 5-ton cube vansDeliveries of doors and other building products as dictated by the needs of the businessSuperior customer service while driving and delivering materials and productsPerform safety pre-trip inspections on Slegg vehiclesLoading and unloading of trucksGeneral housekeeping duties or various yard and warehouse tasks as required or directed by managementAssist shipper with loading and unloading of trucksDeliver materials to the satisfaction of customers and maintain an emphasis on safety service and efficiencyCommunicate with customers and other trades on construction sitesVerify load security and accuracyMaintain contact with shipper and work to resolve issues as they ariseFollow all regulations company policies and proceduresOther duties as assigned by managementBasic RequirementsPrevious driver experienceFlexible work hours each day in order to complete necessary delivery ordersFall protection is an assetMinimum valid Class 5 BC Drivers licenceForklift operation experience an assetPrevious driver and roll off experiencePhysical RequirementsAbility to lift and carry up to and driving for extended periods of timeFrequent climbing up and down stairsPulling pushing bending and twisting movements to transfer building materials between truck and job siteBenefitsHealth benefits - including drug coverage practitioner dental vision disability and life insuranceRetirement savings (pension or other) are providedPerks - Company discounts (mobile phone etc.) training programs and opportunities for career advancement group events and moreIf you feel we are a good fit for your career goals and skillset we invite you to apply and look forward to reviewing your part of the GMS Inc. family of companies you can launch your career with a North American building materials distributor and discover opportunities for growth and value our team members and believe them to be our greatest assets.
