Portfolio Manager Energy & Environment

Job Summary
Were looking for a highly organised and commercially minded Portfolio Manager to join our Energy & Environment business in Auckland.
This is a fast-paced and dynamic role supporting a large portfolio of projects across project controls commercial operations project finance and project delivery support. Youll work closely with Project Managers Finance and operational leaders to help drive commercial performance project governance and operational excellence.
Youll become a key commercial and operational support partner helping teams stay on track proactively identifying risks supporting billing and invoicing activities monitoring project performance and ensuring projects are set up for success from day one.
- Support project setup project controls and project finance activities
- Partner closely with Project Managers across a large and diverse project portfolio
- Assist with commercial reviews cost tracking forecasting and reporting
- Support month-end processes billing invoicing and financial governance
- Monitor project performance risks and opportunities across the portfolio
- Assist with bids and proposals providing commercial sense-checking and support
- Help maintain compliance documentation and governance standards throughout the project lifecycle
- Liaise with offshore project controls support teams including Manila-based resources
- Contribute to operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives
- Build strong relationships across project finance and operational teams
Qualifications :

- Relevant degree in Business Commerce Project Management or related discipline
- 3 years experience in project accounting project management business analyst or similar role preferably in a related industry such as Engineering Consulting or Construction Services.
- Experience in project controls project finance project accounting commercial support or project coordination.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills including formulas and financial reporting
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- A proactive mindset with the ability to follow through and keep things moving
- Excellent organization and time management capability
- Confidence working in a deadline-driven cyclical environment
- Strong commercial awareness and analytical capability
- The ability to challenge constructively and influence outcomes when needed
- A collaborative approach and willingness to work across teams
